Thomas Goepel is a highly experienced professional with more than 30 years of expertise across engineering, marketing, and consulting. Throughout his career, he has developed deep knowledge in Storage, Mission-Critical Computing, and High-Performance Computing, establishing himself as a trusted specialist in these fields.
He is the Head of Product Management for HPE’s OEM Storage Business. He is also the acting Principal Product Manager for XP Storage at Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE). He drives the strategy of HPE’s XP Storage products and solutions.
Additionally to his work at HPE, Thomas is the co-founder and Head of Roasting and Quality for Tico Coffee Roasters. He oversees the roasting operation and process. He ensures the quality of the roasted coffee through frequent cuppings and quality control.
He maintains relationships with coffee growers and importers. Thomas is the main green coffee and tea buyer for the company. Thomas is also involved as a cupping judge at the Alliance for Coffee Excellence.
He is originally from a small farming town near the Bavarian Alps in Germany. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the Technical University of Munich, Germany. He now resides in San Jose, California, and also spends time in Costa Rica.
